End of Year Contract

 

GROVE MIDDLE SCHOOL

8TH GRADE PROMOTION & ACTIVITIES AGREEMENT

2025-2026

 

All 8th-grade scholars are required to meet the Promotion Criteria to participate in promotion activities. 

 

8th Grade Promotion Criteria 

2.50+ Total GPA (8th Grade Ending GPA)

90% Attendance Rate

No D’s or F’s in ELA, Mathematics, Science, or Social Studies

0 Suspensions or Administrative Detentions during the 2nd Semester 

Completion of the 8th Grade Community Project

 

If at any point during the year you are not meeting the Promotion Criteria, you and your parent/guardian will be required to have a meeting with Dr. Burton (Vice Principal) and follow an Academic and Behavior Contract until you have met the promotion criteria. 

 

The scholars must place their initials below to agree to the promotion criteria.  Both the scholar and the parent/guardian must sign and date this form.

8th Grade Promotion Criteria 

  • 2.50+ Total GPA (8th Grade Ending GPA)
  • 90% Attendance Rate
  • No D’s or F’s in ELA, Mathematics, Science, or Social Studies
  • 0 Suspensions or Administrative Detentions during the 2nd Semester 
  • Completion of the 8th Grade Community Project

Time: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.Grade

*Food will be provided

Event: 8th Grade Awards

Location: Oak Grove Middle School,  Multi-Use Room

Time: 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Invitation letters will be sent home with students on May 13, 2026 and need to RSVP by May 18, 2026. Only students who return the slip below will be called to receive their certificate.

Location: Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, Vallejo

Time: 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Cost: $65.00 per student, CASH ONLY

Event: 8th Grade Dance

Location: Oak Grove Middle School MU

Time: 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.

Cost: $10.00 per ticket

Time: 12:00 p.m.- 2:00 p.m.

Cost:  Promotion Gowns $27.00 CASH ONLY
